Shakespeare wrote for everyone--for the young and for the old, for commoners like us, for kings and queens.  He inspired laughter and tears, swoons, and sighs of recognition.  His audiences loved his plays--and when they didn't, they shouted and threw rotten fruit.  Don't listen to naysayers who tell you Shakespeare is too hard or too daunting for children.  Children love to perform and they embrace absurd plot lines and archaic language better than we adults do.  Performing Shakespeare with children is fun.  Find out for yourself.
